杜敏教授，英國(guó)劍橋大學(xué)climaTRACES會(huì)士，中國(guó)北京大學(xué)城市軟實(shí)力研究院專(zhuān)家，英國(guó)愛(ài)丁堡龍比亞大學(xué)商學(xué)院金融學(xué)終身教授，美國(guó)阿克倫大學(xué)和法國(guó)EDC巴黎商學(xué)院客座教授。杜敏教授兼任多本國(guó)際權(quán)威期刊編委，并為50余Q1及ABS 3及以上級(jí)期刊擔(dān)任同行評(píng)審專(zhuān)家。杜敏教授2014年畢業(yè)于英國(guó)諾丁漢大學(xué)，已在SSCI Q1雜志發(fā)表論文90余篇，包括3篇ABS 4。
內(nèi)容提要：
The topic of the lecture is that this research examines how biodiversity loss has emerged as an important environmental risk with growing implications for corporate strategy and technological development. This paper examines whether biodiversity regulation improves firm-level technological progress. We exploit China’s Green Shield Action, a nationwide campaign launched in 2017 to strengthen ecological protection in national nature reserves, as a quasi-natural experiment. Using a difference-in-differences model with panel data on Chinese A-share listed firms from 2010 to 2023, we find that biodiversity regulation increases firms’ total factor productivity, with effects emerging after a policy lag. Mechanism analysis shows that green innovation is an important channel linking biodiversity regulation to technological progress. However, the innovation response differs across firms: while the overall effect operates mainly through substantive green innovation, firms already engaged in patenting exhibit stronger strategic green innovation responses. These findings provide new evidence on how biodiversity regulation shapes corporate innovation and productivity.
講座的主題將圍繞關(guān)于研究探討了生物多樣性損失已成為一項(xiàng)重要的環(huán)境風(fēng)險(xiǎn)，對(duì)企業(yè)戰(zhàn)略和技術(shù)發(fā)展的影響日益深遠(yuǎn)。本文探討生物多樣性規(guī)制是否促進(jìn)了企業(yè)層面的技術(shù)進(jìn)步。我們利用中國(guó)“綠盾行動(dòng)”作為準(zhǔn)自然實(shí)驗(yàn)——該行動(dòng)是2017年啟動(dòng)的全國(guó)性專(zhuān)項(xiàng)行動(dòng)，旨在加強(qiáng)國(guó)家級(jí)自然保護(hù)區(qū)的生態(tài)保護(hù)?；?010年至2023年中國(guó)A股上市公司面板數(shù)據(jù)，采用雙重差分模型進(jìn)行分析，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)生物多樣性規(guī)制提升了企業(yè)全要素生產(chǎn)率，且政策效應(yīng)存在一定的滯后性。機(jī)制分析表明，綠色創(chuàng)新是連接生物多樣性規(guī)制與技術(shù)進(jìn)步的重要渠道。然而，企業(yè)的創(chuàng)新響應(yīng)存在異質(zhì)性：雖然總體效應(yīng)主要通過(guò)實(shí)質(zhì)性綠色創(chuàng)新發(fā)揮作用，但已有專(zhuān)利申請(qǐng)經(jīng)驗(yàn)的企業(yè)表現(xiàn)出更強(qiáng)的戰(zhàn)略性綠色創(chuàng)新響應(yīng)。這些發(fā)現(xiàn)為生物多樣性規(guī)制如何塑造企業(yè)創(chuàng)新與生產(chǎn)力提供了新的經(jīng)驗(yàn)證據(jù)。
